Swirling to a flat end

The Sea Swirls tablecloth is done. The yarn is finished and I just let it end in pattern, without a different border. I’ve even got it to lie flat, by laying its diameter across the ironing board, dampening it and ironing it out, then turning it around and repeating. I really don’t have a wide enough surface (the diameter only just about fit along the length of the ironing board), nor the blocking pins to let it air dry in position, and I think this is working. I’m leaving it on the ironing board overnight to make sure it is completely dry. It’s looking really nice, I think, and I hope whoever the recipient ends up being will really like it.

My camera is unhappy tonight, so I don’t have a picture for you, I’m afraid. Hopefully tomorrow.

The colours complement that pattern well – reminds me of a whirlpool.
